Once again I find myself thinking about the work of Dr Edward Bach – in particular his belief that we should all take responsibility for our own health, and learn how to look after our selves.
In fact the role of a Bach Flower Practitioner is not simply to help correct emotional imbalance in an individual but to teach that patient how to treat themselves.
In this way each patient learns which remedies work for them – when to take them and how.
It is anticipated that most patients will only need to see a practitioner for a few sessions.
This creates a healthy relationship with the aim of discouraging dependency.
It is the beginning of a journey for each patient, and it can be very empowering.
