Just been thinking how lucky I have been to get to know local people around Birdham and the Witterings who have helped me with kindness in all sorts of ways – big and small but always meaningful. We all must use our local shops, businesses, trades people, cottage industries, because they are integral to a successful community – they form its backbone. Villages die when local shops and businesses close.
Right now I want to mention Clive and Jess at access-by design based in Birdham who patiently worked with me to produce my first website. This was a very daunting prospect for me because I am not computer literate and needed all the help I could get just to make decisions about design etc… I did not need to worry. They gently led me through the process to completion, and even now if I forget anything – which is often – they are there to talk it through with me. And now I’ve got a BLOG thanks to them! How cool is that!
Such a nice feeling that they are just down the road ! Local talent – and we need to foster it!
