Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a complete and holistic system of complementary medicine.
It is both safe and effective, and treats the whole person, not the disease. This is based on the premise that each individual reacts differently to the same situation, and these varying reactions illustrate the unique susceptibility of each of us to an external trigger or “ cause”. It is in fact the underlying cause of presenting physical, mental and emotional symptoms that homeopaths seek to find and treat.
The purpose of homeopathy is to stimulate the body’s own capacity for self-healing, and it has a wide sphere of action. For example it is effective in alleviating most symptoms you would normally see your own GP about including complaints such as;
- recurrent infections;
- influenza;
- coughs;
- boils;
- eczema;
- asthma;
- depression;
- insomnia.
Homeopathy works with your body, and is therefore gentle and long lasting in its effects. It can be safely prescribed for all ages including during pregnancy and childbirth, for babies, toddlers, and frail elderly people. It is perfectly safe to be taken alongside conventional medicines, and I would never recommend you stop those prescribed by your GP, that is a matter for discussion between the two of you.
